2. Certification Criteria

Retinex EMR is certified to the following ONC Health IT Certification Program criteria:

3. Clinical Quality Measures

Retinex EMR is certified to the following clinical quality measures (CQMs):

  • CMS131v14 — Diabetes: Eye Exam
  • CMS133v14 — Cataracts: 20/40 or Better Visual Acuity Within 90 Days Following Cataract Surgery
  • CMS143v14 — Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma (POAG): Optic Nerve Evaluation

4. Additional Software

The following third-party software is used in conjunction with Retinex EMR to support certified capabilities:

Microsoft Azure Health Data Services (FHIR)

Used as part of the FHIR API infrastructure supporting 170.315(g)(10) functionality.

DoseSpot (ePrescribing)

Used to support electronic prescribing (eRx and EPCS) functionality within Retinex.

5. Costs

The following outlines potential one-time and recurring costs associated with the implementation and use of Retinex. Fees for the §170.315(g)(10) certified API technology are described in detailed, plain language — including the persons to whom each fee applies, the circumstances, and the amount or methodology — in the API Terms & Conditions (API Fees). Access to the certified API, its documentation, the sandbox, and registration is provided at no charge.

  • EHR Subscription — Licensed on a per doctor basis (recurring)
  • Migration from Prior EMR — One-time cost depending on data scope and complexity
  • Implementation & Training — One-time cost based on configuration, onboarding, and training needs
  • Ongoing Technical Support — Additional costs may apply for support beyond standard support levels or requiring dedicated resources
  • Standardized APIs & Third-Party Integrations — May incur additional costs depending on integrations and usage
  • Regulatory Compliance — Retinex is compliant with the 21st Century Cures Act, including all applicable information blocking and EHI export requirements

6. Multi-Factor Authentication

Retinex EMR supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) in accordance with 170.315(d)(13). MFA adds a second verification step beyond a user's password — protecting access to electronic health information against compromised credentials. 7. Electronic Health Information (EHI) Export

Retinex EMR provides single-patient and patient-population electronic health information (EHI) export in accordance with 170.315(b)(10). Users can export a timely, computable copy of the EHI Retinex maintains, without special effort or additional cost.
